Meditation: a door to Freedom and Bliss

In this blog post we are going to learn what meditation is, what are the best meditation technique, how to actually do it in reality? And how it is door to enlightenment? So let's begin...

Meditation is not limited to sitting in silence, closing eyes and seeing blue or red or any light. It's not even limited to focusing on in breath and out breath. It's beyond it . 

Meditation is a process of realising the truth. The truth that who you are ? What's your purpose of birth? Meditation is the door to enlightenment. If we call enlightenment an accident then meditation makes this accident prone. 

Let's first understand what meditation is ?

Meditation is a process in which meditator first realise his or her whole body from head to toe then he starts focusing on in breath and out breath. He follows his breath as a disciple. His breath is his Guru. With slowing of his breath, his mind stops chattering. Now, he is in the state of awareness. Now, he becomes witness Consciousness. This is whole meaning of meditation.

A mediator may here get the wrong idea that he is God , that he is not going to die , he is immortal. A mediator has to stay away from this false idea . All these ideas are the creation of your monkey mind who has created God, Allah , Scriptures, Heaven, hell and many things you know. 

Meditation is all about staying away from all these nonsense. 

Now, let's understand how to actually do meditation ? But Before that let's understand which meditation is the best and the easiest one ? 

The easiest one is Vippasna. In this meditation technique you just have to focus on your breath. Your breath is your guru and you have to follow in breath and out breath as a disciple. 

With following your breath, your whole body and mind starts relaxing. Your mind stops chattering. If your mind didn't Stops chattering then don't get bothered by it . Just let it pass through. It's doesn't has to do anything with you and neither you have to do anything with it during meditation. Thoughts have their own journey, own mission, it's just passes through you and you mistakenly identity yourself with it and sometimes you say that 'this is my thought'. 

This is the meditation process. Some people claim to see blue or white light or God or Allah or anything. This is not meditation because you are still trapped in the mind's game. All these nonsense are mind's imagination and nothing else. 

Now, let's understand how it is door to enlightenment?
 
You first have to understand what enlightenment is ? Enlightenment is a complete freedom from suffering. It's not only freedom from suffering but also staying in the state of Bliss .

How realising it helped by meditation? 
Meditation helps you realise that there is No-one, no self in the body. There is no "i" , no "owner", no "controller" of the body.  

When this realisation happens then suffering stops because for suffering to happen there must be someone to suffer, isn't it? Now, since there is No-one, so there is no suffering. Pain is still there but suffering is not there. I hope you know the difference between pain and suffering.
